CHINA CULTURAL CENTER

This exhibition brings together works by 47 women artists who, through a variety of expressions, share the richness and energy of spring from “their perspective.” The diverse cultural backgrounds, aesthetic sensibilities, and experiences of the creators make this artistic exchange a truly special encounter.
This exhibition is also part of the new Chinese-Spanish art exchange program called PrimaveArt, launched by the CCCM to celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Spain, and the China-Spain Cultural and Tourism Year. As a program aimed at using art as a bridge to promote exchange and mutual understanding, ELLAS is curated and artistically directed by El Club de las Mujeres (In)Visibles (Spain), the ASA Foundation (China), with the collaboration of SSV (China). My artwork, titled “EPHEMERAL,” was created while I was in New York. It’s a digital Pop Art piece featuring a cherry blossom, a fleeting flower that blooms at the beginning of spring. In China, this flower is associated with power, strength, beauty, and feminine sensuality. It has received special recognition on the Chinese Channel in Europe. |
