CHINA CULTURAL CENTER
ELLAS – Exhibition of Contemporary Chinese and Spanish Women Artists

Picture
This exhibition brings together works by 47 women artists who, through a variety of expressions, share the richness and energy of spring from “their perspective.” The diverse cultural backgrounds, aesthetic sensibilities, and experiences of the creators make this artistic exchange a truly special encounter.

This exhibition is also part of the new Chinese-Spanish art exchange program called PrimaveArt, launched by the CCCM to celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Spain, and the China-Spain Cultural and Tourism Year.

As a program aimed at using art as a bridge to promote exchange and mutual understanding, ELLAS is curated and artistically directed by El Club de las Mujeres (In)Visibles (Spain), the ASA Foundation (China), with the collaboration of SSV (China).

My artwork, titled “EPHEMERAL,” was created while I was in New York. It’s a digital Pop Art piece featuring a cherry blossom, a fleeting flower that blooms at the beginning of spring. In China, this flower is associated with power, strength, beauty, and feminine sensuality. It has received special recognition on the Chinese Channel in Europe.

Mix Exhibitions

A collection of illustrations created using various techniques such as watercolors, colored pencils, Indian ink, and other elements like coffee and wine. The illustrations carry a strong emotional charge, surrounded by a dreamlike and symbolic atmosphere where the images are enveloped in a surreal and magical aura.

I participated in several exhibitions:

  • Microarte 2013: An independent art festival aimed at promoting young talents within the art world in all its forms.

  • Centro Cultural Conde Duque - Haciendo Barrio Exhibition 2013: In collaboration with Plataforma Maravillas, I participated in the open call, exhibiting one of my illustrations in Room 1 of the Centro Cultural Conde Duque.

  • Solo Exhibition - Notas de Arte [Art & Music]: My first solo art exhibition, accompanied by magical stories written by Miguel Buendía and live music by Alfonso Gardi, who filled the space with his music.
Location: Cafetería La Cocina de mi Vecina - Madrid
Exhibition Duration: 1 year

Poster for a Group Exhibition Coordinated by APIM

A poster created for a group exhibition coordinated by APIM, the Professional Association of Illustrators of Madrid, as part of the planned activities for the 39th Children’s and Young Adult Book Fair (December to January 2016). This event was organized by the General Council of the Book to promote and spread children’s illustration and literature.

That year, the exhibition took place at the Centro Cultural Conde Duque and was dedicated to Disability in Children’s Literature, under the theme: “Literature Includes Us All.”

Algunos Techos Rotos

The exhibition presented by the CdeC (Club de Creativos) at Tabakalera, San Sebastián, coinciding with the 18th Spanish Creativity Festival and the National Creativity Awards.

The exhibition brings together around thirty inspiring pieces focused on women in the workplace. Thirty female leaders in their fields are portrayed through the eyes and talent of creative professionals — members of the Club de Creativos — who interpreted their respective portraits.

These thirty artworks represent women who have achieved top positions in areas traditionally dominated by men. Women who are role models and have paved the way for future generations. Their portraits are accompanied by a phrase, advice, or inspiring quote, always promoting equality.

Exposición Proyecto MAXMA

I participated in the creation of a piece for the MAXMA Project — Women Artists for and by Women Activists, where I illustrated Efua Dorkenoo, known as "Mama Efua."

She led the campaigns that successfully brought the issue of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) before the United Nations Assembly, framing it as a matter of Human Rights.
